By colour picking from the image of the album 'Free', this creates a palette of colours which are calm, warm and dreamy. Applying these colours to the campaign design would effectively reflect the album that is being released and also represent the colours that are utilised on the cover art. This reinforces the theme and brings about a certain hype for the album to be released.
Since this project is heavily screen based, the designer would work in RGB mode. There is a lot more freedom regarding colour choices as there is no need to have to consider CMYK options unless the designer plans on creating extended deliverables that would be printed.
