OUGD406 | STUDIO BRIEF 4 | SPEAKING FROM EXPERIENCE | BRIEF

I began to make a mindmap as I did not have a solid idea for this brief. It's very open and you can interpret it in any way you want. Listing a lot of different directions down was helpful to organise my thoughts.

I became quite keen on the idea of making a small zine, although I made a new mind map to determine the content, stock choice and size.

I started thinking about what would of helped me when I started back in September. I tend to worry a lot, about quite trivial things sometimes and this was very apparent before I started university. Over the course of this year, I have started to combat it and now I find myself worrying a lot less. This is probably because before I began this course, I had never done Graphics as a subject before, only fine art and art and design, which is probably evident in my style of working. Now I feel a lot more comfortable in the way I work and recognize everyone is different and produces work differently.

I think a zine focused entirely on worrying would be a good idea as sometimes it's good to read something reassuring. I think that the zine should include ways to stop worrying, and also feature general things that I personally may have worried about, regarding graphics or even personal/social aspects (that can be generalized).

The next step is to do some research into existing designs and decide on the content for the zine.
