OUGD505 / STUDIO BRIEF 02 / RESEARCH / POLL

I wanted to ask two fundamental questions in relation to my research, and having a decent amount of twitter followers who I knew would be interested, I thought twitter would be a good place to start. The older generations are less likely to follow a vegan lifestyle, as it has become more popular with millennials who are becoming more and more aware of the implications of an omnivorous diet, due to being exposed to a variety of information from social media and the internet about vegan/vegetarian living.

Those who interact with my account on twitter are usually from the age of 16-25, which is my ideal demographic for this project.

I took to twitter to ask if other people who follow a vegan diet, or are interested in vegan food, have found it difficult to find somewhere to eat on the go:

The results showed that vegans find it difficult to find a place to eat adequately when they are on the go and eating with friends. The numbers massively outweigh, with 79% of the data stating 'yes'. This facilitates my project and proves that there could be a huge demand for somewhere popular and convenient for vegans (and anyone) to eat without worry.

I then asked whether people thought a vegan/veggie fast food restaurant would be useful:

Again, the results demonstrate that more people think that this would be beneficial, prompting me to believe that the project undertaken will answer the problem suitably.
