OUGD504 / STUDIO BRIEF 03 / COMMERCIAL CONSIDERATIONS

Once the publication has been completed, it should be packaged at 300 dpi as that is the correct resolution for print, and set in CMYK mode to ensure that the colours are correct during printing.

The designer then needs to locate a printing company that can print the publication at a fair price, as if the publication is reproduced on a large scale to eventually sell to a shop or third party. The designer needs to communicate which stock is intended for the publication and it is also beneficial to request a sample to make sure that everything is in order before getting it printed.

The binding is a staple bound so this should be simple enough to communicate to the client and make sure this is the correct way that it will be bound.
