The questions I chose to as was:
"is the yellow effective? why/why not?"
"does serif work or would sans serif be an improvement?"
"does it fit the brief? improvements?"
"any other comments?"
The response I received was not only a confidence boost but also very helpful. I was pleased that people agreed that a serif font was most effective for the brief, but it also gave me an opportunity to think about my target audience and the discourse structure. Will I be aiming it more at younger people, or keep it mature overall?
Something to consider further is the colour choice. I wanted to know if yellow was successful, or whether it would be worth changing this. The response I got was mostly positive about the yellow, however it was suggested that yellow could imply danger, which wasn't my intention. Someone also said it would be an idea to use blue or green as a more relaxing colour palette, which I will now try out in my development.
I was happy to discover that people found my work interesting & exciting as that is something I am constantly aiming for, I wanted this outcome to show the fun side of the design process, and not paint it to be something mundane or dull to complete. Apparently the response I have created has fulfilled the brief, even though it needs some work this is promising and has boosted me onto the next development stage.
