I created a few rough sketches of symbols surrounding death in order to determine which ideas I'd like to take forward digitally. These sketches connote aesthetics from traditional tattoo designs, which usually have bold, thick linework and heavy solid colour. This would be beneficial in making the final sleeve/s stand out on a shelf.
I got some feedback on these sketches and it was said the cross, grave and coffin are the most appropriate for my concept, but it would be good to experiment with vector to undertake a refined
approach.
