We asked four questions relating to different parts of the app:
If you was a new user coming to the app, would you know how to pick and navigate through the number of categories?
"I think the card stack idea is really effective, especially for the younger audience you're trying to aim the product at"
"It's very self explanatory and simple to use."
"It reminds me of tinder, but the idea behind the swiping method is effective"
If you was on the article page, how would you create a response?
"I think I would use text as I'm not a fan of speaking on camera"
"I agree, text is probably the best option"
"I might try video if I was really passionate about a subject!"
"Unsure if I would make a response"
Do you prefer this type of response feature over comments?
"The three types of responses is a cleaver idea. It's flexible for everyone that way, and yes I prefer it over comments!"
"It's very different to what comments are. Maybe have the responses at the bottom and not as a floating button?”
"Yes, it's unique and very creative. "
"I really love the social aspect around the response feature where people can gain a following from it"
Do you think the drag and drop feature is successful and would you use it?
"It seems very confusing at first but once you explained it to me I can see it being very popular"
"Yes! I would absolutely use it "
"Maybe if I got involved with the news a lot more but I'm not sure if I would because how little I engage with the news."
"It is a unique approach to news. It's what everyone wants really"
"I think the idea of removing and positioning widgets anywhere is amazing"
We thought the feedback we gained was overall very positive, it's good to get critiques on things we can also change and improve, however I feel people would be more engaged with it if it had been explained more articulately, as we will be doing with the animation.
