OUGD503 / STUDIO BRIEF 02 / AUDIO

Due to the video being heavy with information, we thought that an audio script recorded over the footage would allow the video to make more sense and make it more clear what's going on in the animation. There are several features of the application which are showcased throughout, so the script needed to be split into sections according to what is taking place on screen.

As for the voice for the audio, we decided my voice was fairly clear, informative and friendly. My nothern accent is approachable which should make the audience more relaxed during the video. However, if we had more time and an available budget, we may have reconsidered this and used someone who has a more articulate voice which are trained to do voice overs.

As for the end of the video, where the app name is spoken, "your telegraph", we added several personal pronouns to convey a sense of unity and inclusion for everyone, "his her my our your telegraph". Each pronoun was spoken by a diverse range of people, again enforcing the idea that the application is for everyone, and anyone can get involved.

This was the script I used to voice over, however parts were tweaked organically during recording to fit appropriately.

CUSTOMISE
Due to the advance of social media and the Internet, the demand for information and choice is instant for younger people. This leads into our
main feature of the app, the option to customise all visual cards, included in articles, profiles and responses. Demonstrated here, the user is able to drag and drop widgets into the article whilst removing unwanted sections.

PROFILE
The profile page acts as a hub for the user, showcasing their interests and who they are as a member of Telegraph. The profile page acts as a community for all readers. Readers can follow members with similar interests whilst being able to see their top categories, appreciations and pinned responses.

RESPONSE

A response is similar to a comment, but more engaging for members of the telegraph community. Readers can voice their opinions on any article by creating a response. Responses range from video, text and audio making it accessible for members to create a new conversation wherever they are. By creating great responses, the user can build up a following. Responses can educate and express, making it a unique and informative platform for anyone."
