OUGD503 / STUDIO BRIEF 02 / TELEGRAPH / BRIEF

This brief is part of the D&AD New Blood Awards, and set by the Telegraph:

Firstly we began to highlight key phrases and words that would help with the idea generation. It helps to focus on what essential elements should be incorporated within the resolution that will answer the brief effectively.

This brief will be a great way to develop skills in user experience, and learn about the user journey when working with a digital product, something I personally have not had the most experience with. I have been heavily focused on print throughout the course, so it will be beneficial to see if digital design is something I'd want to persue in the future.

I chose to work with another graphic designer for this brief as I felt this would be the most appropriate. Jack also has an interest in UX/UI, which will obviously be helpful to the overall design process. Working with one other person will also have its pros and cons, for example there may not be as many different outlooks on parts of the design, but there will be less people to disagree with, which will hopefully make a harmonious work environment.

The next step is to both discuss this brief in full and deconstruct it in order to get our brains going and think of some ideas on where to take it.
